What started out as a daunting process for me became fun once we decided to work together with Aldora. She studied the space, coordinated contractors and proposed great design options for me. Aldora is a very talented artist. When we started working with her, I quickly learned that the best thing is not to intervene with her creating process. She has an eye for the quality look while not necessarily going for the most expensive options. She proposed tile, lighting fixtures, paint which I would havenever thought of.

At the beginning my first reaction to her idea for the kitchen backsplash was no way I am going to get it. But then I gave it some thought and decided to try it out. It turned out incredible,catching the eye and at the same time smoothly flowing with the countertop and kitchen cabinets.Since then, I learned not to rush with my judgements but rather let the artist create. While she designed a completely new look for the second floor, she took a different approach with the first floor.

She was able to create a more modern look, but managed to preserve the cabinets, the woodwork, the stone, and most of the furniture. Instead of tearing them apart, she emphasized the fireplace stone andthe wooden cabinets in the family room, making them more appealing while giving them a moremodern look. She masterfully adorned the rooms so they are seamlessly connecting.

Every morning when I wake up, I see the beautiful wooden work on the master bedroom ceiling. This sets my mood for the rest of the day. The master suite turned out to be so beautiful that I dread having to step out. The accents in the master bedroom are in the same color palette as the bathroom makingthem look like one piece. The room is spacious with lots of light while at the same time having plenty of storage space for the clothing and the jewelry.On top of it all, Aldora recommended the contractors and guided them in the implementation of her vision. When it turned out the floor stain looked different on the hardwood floor in the older part of the house, she dropped everything and came over at 7 o’clock in the evening to meet with the contractors to select a different stain.

She made sure that the contractors did not take short cuts and frequently asked them to re-do when the outcome did not match the desired expectation. The experience working

with Aldora was so enjoyable that I wish I could do another project with her in the future-- something like a summer cottage.

It was breathtaking to see how the old house transformed into something with an extraordinary, creative, and more modern appeal.
